Hans was excellent host he told all different places in Devon to visit and to eat rooms were lovely the beds was lovely to sleep in breakfast excellent would go back again if you get the chance to go to Paignton book here you wont regret it
Had a lovely stay here. Hans was the perfect host made us very welcome and also our three month old puppy. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. We will book again.. Perfect location for us.. Thank you Hans.x
really nice host room small and basic but this is reflected in the price very close to town and seafront superb tasty breakfast. made to feel very welcome and the host went out of his way to assist us well recommended the only downfall was the early morning chorus of seagulls waking us up but guess that,s the price you pay to be so close to the sea
Beautiful place to stay within easy walking distance from the beach, Rail and bus stations and pub's, and amusement arcades. Despite it being close to the town centre it's very quiet. The owner Hans cook's a lovely breakfast every morning and is very helpful with ideas for thing's to do in and around Devon. Had a lovely holiday here and can't wait to visit again.
Delightful weekend away staying at the Waverley! Lovely room, clean and quiet, but in walking distance to the town and beach....superb!...having not been in Paignton before we loved it and will certainly go back...Hans a true gentleman, cooked a freshly cooked breakfast which was super! It's totally warm & friendly Hans the owner should upgrade to 5 star very knowledgeable about the area and how to get there after being in the guest house for 17 years we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet stay. 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes walk to the town what more could anyone want our car hardly moved all week
Cleanest B and B I've ever stopped at. Very comfortable bed. Facilities are just the essentials, however breakfast excellent and Hans (the owner)understands what guests need. Stopped here several times and will always be my first choice in torbay. If you need all the bells and whistles, it may not be for you but if your needs are 1) an absolutely spotlessly clean place to stay. 2) very good breakfast 3) a very comfortable bed then well worth considering. WiFi was good too. A few streets back from the sea front so peaceful at night. Trains do run close to rear of building(same for a lot of B&Bs in Paignton ) however these don't run after 10ish pm so don't be put off by this. Summary, basics are covered well, and the overall impression is of cleanliness.
Really enjoyed my stay at Waverley , affordable , clean & really excellent service from Hans who is clearly passionate about his many years in the industry & doing an excellent job. Really friendly & the other guests were returning , a sign of how welcoming & accommodating it is. I stayed to walk the coast path , excellent location , I stayed an extra night. Hans was helpful & friendly. And the breakfast , first class ! Really set me up well for a day walking !! This place definitely deserves its 5 ⭐ reviews ! Thanks Hans & Janie
